Modric has scored his six goals for Real Madrid from outside the box

The Croat rounded off his exceptional run of form by scoring the side's final goal against Getafe.
He helps the side flow, works hard and recovers an infinite amount of balls, in addition to scoring screamers. Luka Modric is one of the in-vogue player at Real Madrid. Fundamental to the side’s good run, the Croat once again shone with his fantastic effort against Getafe.

It was the 66th minute of the game when he took control of the ball on the edge of the area, steadied himself and beat Moyá with a well-placed shot. It was his sixth goal in a Madrid shirt, and all of them have come from outside the area. Potency and accuracy whilst shooting are just some of his numerous qualities.

Modric is showing a facet of his game that could be a vital help when The Whites take on sides that are closed. His first goal in a white shirt came last season against Zaragoza, when he smashed an effort in off the post from the edge of the box. He then scored three similar efforts against Manchester United, Mallorca and Málaga.

This season he has remained true to form, scoring with long-range efforts against both Copenhagen and Getafe.
