Málaga - Real Madrid The leaders travel to Malaga for the first of their five remaining away games in La Liga

Real Madrid have eleven matches left until the end of La Liga. The leaders, who have played 29 matches on the trot without losing, travel to Malaga on matchday 28 (20:00, Canal+ 1) in search of three points that will, at least, allow them to maintain the advantage they have over Atlético and Barcelona.

Carlo Ancelotti's team, who play the second leg of their Champions League last sixteen game and the league Clásico in the Santiago Bernabéu next week, arrive in La Rosaleda ready for the closing stretch of the season having recorded 15 victories and two draws in the 17 matches they have played in 2014.

In the remainder of the championship Madrid have to visit five opponents; Málaga, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Valladolid and Celta de Vigo. Today they approach the first of those clashes as the best away team in the league. No other side can match the 31 points or the 34 goals they have to their name away from the Bernabéu. They are also the only team to score in all their away games.

Goals, goals and more goals
Ancelotti has called up 20 players. Sergio Ramos, who is suspended, and the injured Arbeloa and Khedira are not on the team-sheet. The Italian is currently enjoying a lucrative period in front of goal from Bale, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo. The latter two have scored 19 goals against the Andalusian outfit. In the history of La Liga, no Real Madrid player has put more goals past Málaga than the Portuguese striker, who is the top goal-scorer in the league and the Champions League.
REAL MADRID IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE SECOND HALF OF LA LIGA WITH SIX VICTORIES AND TWO DRAWS IN EIGHT MATCHES.
Málaga's confidence is sky-high as they prepare to host the Whites having beaten Osasuna in the ever-tricky El Sadar (0-2). The team sits in thirteenth position in the table with 29 points, but it is only three points above the relegation zone. At home they have recorded five victories, two draws and six defeats.

Schuster has named 18 players for the clash, including El Hamdaoui, Portillo and Casado, none of whom featured in their last league game. Jesús Gámez and Sergi Darder will miss the match through suspension, while Weligton is injured and Rescaldani, Eliseu and Pawlowski did not make the squad. Santa Cruz is Málaga's top scorer in the league with five.
