Real Madrid look for a victory over Osasuna to continue the fight for the league

Real Madrid return to the league after winning the cup and beating Bayern, four days before playing in Munich for a place in the final of the Champions League.
Real Madrid have five finals left in their quest to win the league. After winning the cup and defeating Bayern in the Champions League semi-final first leg, The Whites return to domestic competition four days before playing for a place in the European Cup final in Munich. They will be looking for their 25th win of the season at the Santiago Bernabéu (20:00) against an Osasuna side that need to win to move away from the drop zone.

With one game less than their two principal rivals for the title, The Whites are looking for a win that would keep the pressure on Atlético and Barcelona, who play on Sunday. Osasuna, Valencia, Valladolid, Celta and Espanyol are the remaining sides Madrid have to face in the final stretch of the season.

Ronaldo to play against Osasuna

Carlo Ancelotti has selected 20 players. "Cristiano finished the game against Bayern well, he's recovered and will play", said the Italian, who admitted he would make the odd change and that Morata could well come in for Benzema. Ronaldo is the league's leading scorer, as well as the Champions League's, and has 45 goals in 42 games this season.
REAL MADRID HAVE SCORED 71 GOALS AND LET IN 16 IN THE 28 GAMES THEY'VE PLAYED IN 2014.
The side from Navarra have visited Real Madrid on 35 occasions in League history, with The Whites winning 28 times, five draws and two away wins, 96 goals scored by the home team to 30 conceded. This season the sides faced off in the Copa del Rey, a tournament that Ancelotti's side went on to win, and both games ended 2-0 to The Whites.

Moving away from the danger
Osasuna go to the Santiago Bernabéu in 15th position, with 35 points, just three above the relegation places. With the need to record a win, the Basque outfit are on a run of four without losing in the league, their record being one win and three draws. As visitors they have recorded four wins (Almería, Betis, Valladolid and Málaga), three draws and 10 defeats in the competition.

Javier Gracia's side will be without the injured trio of Loli, Sisi and Nino, in addition to the suspended Gato Silva and Roberto Torres, and travelled to Madrid with a squad of 18. Oriol Riera, with three in the last four, is their top goalscorer, with 12.
