The Dutch official has taken charge of two Whites fixtures before.
The Dutch referee Björn Kuipers will take charge of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid at the Estadio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on Saturday the 24th of May at 20:45 (La1 and Canal+ 1). It will be the third time that Kuipers, who is 41, has refereed a match involving The Whites. He did so last season in the first leg of the semi-finals against Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park (4-1), and in round of 16 during the 2011/12 campaign against CSKA Moscow (1-1).
