Björn Kuipers born on March 28, 1973 in Oldenzaal, is a Dutch football referee in the Eredivisie. In addition, Kuipers is an international arbitrator.
He has referred to numerous international matches. On 14 January 2009, the head of the technical staff of the KNVB judges Jaap Uilenberg confirmed that Kuipers was promoted to a higher grade within European football. Kuipers is one of only three Dutch which is the highest level of European judges. He was a FIFA referee since 2006.
On 7 May 2014 he was appointed as an arbitrator in the UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid final which will be held today, May 24.
