Bale celebrates his 25th birthday

In his first season with Real Madrid he won the Champions League and the Copa del Rey, scoring in both finals.
Gareth Bale is 25 today. The Real Madrid player was born on 16 July 1989 in Cardiff (Wales) and his debut for the Whites came on 4 September 2013 away to Villarreal. The Welshman marked the special occasion by finding the net. It was the first of 22 goals he would score in his debut season with Real Madrid.

His 44 appearances for the team break down into 27 in La Liga, 12 in the Champions League and 5 in the Copa del Rey. In addition, in his first season with the Whites he managed to become the squad’s third top goal-scorer, behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Benzema. The goals he scored include those in the finals of the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, which were crucial to his first titles with the Whites.
