Real Madrid completed the first morning session of the preseason

Ball work featured heavily during the training session in which Ancelotti had 10 first teamers and 12 youth academy players.

Real Madrid finished the first of the two training sessions planned for today. With the players who were taking part in the World Cup in Brazil still absent, Ancelotti once again trained with the 22 players he worked with during the previous day. Illarra, Morata, Isco, Diego López, Carvajal, Jesús, Nacho, Bale, Casemiro y Arbeloa, del primer equipo; y los canteranos Pacheco, Llorente, Mascarell, Lucas, Medrán, Sobrino, José Rodríguez, Burgui, Raúl de Tomás, Marcos Llorente, Noblejas and Derik.

The first part of the training session focused on fitness. With the goalkeepers working separately under the orders of Villiam Vecchi, the outfielders worked on their abdominal muscles, did pushups and other muscle strengthening exercises. Casemiro and Morata completed the beep test, a demanding aerobic exercise usually performed during the preseason in which players run distances of 20 meters with ten-second intervals between each stage.

Following that, all the 22 players under Ancelotti's instructions during the morning session, worked on intense passing, crossing and shooting drills.

More work at 17:00 CET
The Whites will continue their work this evening and from 17:00 CET they will train for the third time during this preseason. The session will be held behind closed doors in the Ciudad Real Madrid.
