James Rodríguez was not only the top goal scorer during the World Cup. He also scored the best goal of the tournament. That is according to the users on FIFA.com, who chose the first of his two goals against Uruguay in the second round of the competition. The Colombian controlled the ball on his chest outside the box before turning and sending an unstoppable left-footed volley goalwards.

Over 75% of the almost four million votes were for that goal, beating off competition from Van Persie's diving header against Spain and another Rodríguez goal against Japan in the Group Stage.
