Cristiano Ronaldo, man of the match in the European Super Cup final

The Portuguese man once again showed that he is the best player in the world.
No matter what happens, Cristiano is always at hand. In the first official game of the season, with the European Super Cup title to play for, the Portuguese man once again showed why he is the Ballon d'Or. His two goals against Sevilla sealed Madrid's victory in Cardiff and earned him the man of the match award.

His first goal came on the half hour mark. Bale sent in a perfect ball from the left and, from inside the box, Cristiano demonstrated his incredible knack for scoring by stirring the cross into the back of the net. In the second half, he killed off the match with a powerful left-footed strike after being played in by Benzema. Cristiano has started the season as he always does, as the number one.
