Ancelotti is the fourth Madrid coach to win the Copa without losing a game

The Italian equalled the achievements of Bru, Molowny and Boskov in the competition.
Real Madrid's two goals at the Mestalla allowed The Whites to win the Copa de EspaƱa again, finished undefeated in the tournament. Their record is eight wins and a draw, and Carlo Ancelotti comes on the fourth Real Madrid manager to win the competition without losing a game.

The first to achieve it was Paco Bru in 1934, when they beat Valencia 2-1 in the final. There was a 30-year wait before the Copa was won in such spectacular fashion again. It was under the guise of Molowny in 1974, and they sealed the title with a 4-0 win over Barcelona. The last coach to do so before Ancelotti was Boskov, who in 1980 won four games and drew three. In the final they beat Castilla 6-1.
