The champion's support

"Our fans have been incredible", said Pepe after the final. The players once again felt the support of the Madrid fans, from their arrival in Valencia to their celebrations in Cibeles.
Real Madrid once again won the Copa at the Mestalla, and their fans played a big part in it. From the moment they touched down in Valencia, the side felt buoyed on by fans. More than 300 waited for The Whites at the airport, and another 400 at the hotel.

The day of the game saw Madrid fans divided themselves between the Fan Zone, the hotel and the Mestalla, waiting for the players to arrive. The players' journey to the stadium was spectacular, as they were escorted every step of the way by their fans who were intensely involved in the final.
THE FANS HELPED US A LOT AND EVERYTHING WE DID ON THE PITCH WAS FOR THEM.
The party went on throughout the day and lasted during the game too. The majority were wearing their white shirt and had an enormous banner saying “Hasta el final, vamos Real” (Up until the end, come on Real), and the fans watched a vibrant encounter, which finished with Bale's goal.

Ancelotti, impressed
"I'm happy to have been here and experienced this spectacle. The fans have helped us a lot", said Ancelotti in his press conference after the game. The cup was Madrid's and the party moved to the Spanish capital. But before getting on the plane home, more than 200 fans said goodbye to the fans at Manises airport.

When the game finished, the Plaza de Cibeles became the meeting point for thousands of fans who wanted to celebrate yet another title along with the team. They waited until the players appeared and the most eagerly anticipated moment, when Casillas tied a Madrid scarf and flag to the statue of the goddess. Pepe's words summed the whole squad's feelings up: "Our fans have been incredible".
