Real Madrid has the highest coefficient in the UEFA ranking

Real Madrid is the joint leader, alongside Atlético Madrid, during the 2013/2014 season.
The club coefficient ranking is based on each team's results over the past five seasons in the Champions League and the Europa League. Fantastic performances by the Whites in Europe's elite competition, in which they have reached the semi-final stage in each of the last four years, and have also booked their ticket to this season's final in Lisbon, has moved Real Madrid into first place in the coefficient table. The win against Bayern Munich means that Real Madrid has accumulated 159,456 points and now overtakes Barcelona in the ranking, with the Catalans on 157,456 points.

With respect to this season, the Whites are level on 37,514 points with Atlético Madrid, their opponents in the final on the 24th of May.
