In fact, in April he travelled to Munich to visit the team, just before their historic 0-4 victory in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. There he had his photo taken with Cristiano Ronaldo and posted it to his social media accounts with the title “A footballing genius. Cristiano is as friendly as ever”. On top of that, during the World Cup he made his intentions clear whenever the press asked him about his future: “It is a dream of mine to play in Spain, Madrid is my favourite team”.
